Casting Call: Producers hiring actors for concert scene in Aretha Franklin biopic

This will be the last fitting that takes place before the production goes on holiday hiatus.

ATLANTA — If you would like to be in the next Aretha Franklin biopic - here’s your chance!

Marinella Hume Casting Producers are hosting a fitting for “Respect” on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019.

Producers are looking for actors of different ethnic backgrounds and genders to appear in a concert scene.

This will be the last fitting that takes place before the production goes on holiday hiatus.

Filming for the concert scene will take a place on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020.

Actors must be 18 and older and will be paid $88 for eight hours.

Last month, The A-Scene revealed that Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson began filming scenes for the biopic at Tyler Perry Studios.

"It was exciting enough to sing for @tylerperry studio opening and I’m just as excited to shoot here today ! #Respect," she wrote.

“Respect” will feature the untold story about the soul star’s rise to stardom.

So far, it appears that the basecamp sign used as the working title for this movie is “QOS,” which is the abbreviation of the singer’s title “Queen of Soul."

If you have what it takes, e-mail your resume and headshot to QOS.BACKGROUND@gmail.com.

If you see the production in your neighborhood, please tell The A-Scene Facebook group!
