“I have finally met ‘Body Goals!’ You know that’s what everyone calls you on the internet, right?” Amiker said. “So, I have to ask you the first question … I know you’re here performing, but, ok … what is your daily diet and what is your daily exercise?”

“Oh my gosh, my daily diet?” Ashanti laughed. “I’m on a juice cleanse right now! It’s all plant-based, beyond burgers, asparagus, veggies, stuff like that. And I try to get in my crunches and jump rope in.”

“Every single day?” Amiker asked.

“About four days a week,” Ashanti replied.

The singer even shared the interview with Amiker on her Instagram: "Sooo ... I gave her some of my diet & exercise secrets 😜."

Ashanti performed at the 2019 Trumpet Awards at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Sat., Jan. 19. The awards show recognizes the outstanding achievements of African Americans and others who have succeeded against the odds.

Ashanti said she was proud to be featured among the top performers of the night.

“Dream big, think big. Be a boss,” Ashanti said. “It’s all about positive music, positive energy.”

Amiker asked her if she had any big plans for the Super Bowl – which is happening in Atlanta on Feb. 3.

“Super Bowl? When is the Super Bowl?” Ashanti joked. “I’m probably going to be in New York … and probably in the studio, to be honest.”
