Lil Yachty hosting free music festival at Georgia Freight Depot

The festival centers on the vibrant and fresh culture of Atlanta, and Lil Yachty, who is most known for his hit “Broccoli,” was named the headliner for the event.

ATLANTA — Lil Yachty is throwing a free concert in Atlanta!

The Mableton native is working with Destination: Atlanta - a one-day music festival by Journeys and Adidas on Sept. 28 at the Freight Depot.

The festival centers on the vibrant and fresh culture of Atlanta, and Lil Yachty, most known for his hit “Broccoli,” was named the headliner for the event.

Lil Yachty currently has a number of music projects that’s he’s working on, while he's also working as a fashion model in between studio stints.

Additional performers include up-and-coming artists Kodie Shane, Marlo and Mike Floss - all of which are the a part of the new wave - and next generation of hip-hop.

The Destination series takes place in a different city annually and this year, Destination: Atlanta is inspired by the music and culture derived from our city and will include various interactive stations for an elevated experience for guests. 

The free event will conveniently take place in the vacant lot area of the Georgia Freight Depot. 

Festival-goers can also take in the sounds of DJs Heroes x Villains and Ferrari Simmons along with host, Kenny Burns.
