'Stranger Things' sighting in Jackson

Crews say the one-day shoot happened downtown on Monday.
On Tuesday, the side of a street in the square in downtown Jackson remained blocked off while crews broke down from the previous day's shoot.

JACKSON, GA- A cryptic production sign at Exit 205 on I-75 south of Atlanta pointed the way to Hawkins, Indiana. The sign read "BLK45". That's the code for the Netflix hit "Stranger Things".

Downtown Jackson took on the look of Hawkins, Indiana again for the day on Monday.

On Tuesday morning, a shooting crane and set crews were all that were left behind.

On Tuesday a production crane and crews lined a section of Jackson, Georgia that was temporarily transformed into Hawkins, Indiana the day the before.

Hawkins, Indiana is the setting for the Netflix hit "Stranger Things." The series stars Winona Ryder and is set in 1983. When Ryder's son disappears, the investigation leads her and local authorities into a world of government experiments and the supernatural.

Around the corner from the shoot in the downtown square, the A-Scene discovered a lot with two more production cranes, along with a collection of '70s and '80s-era cars.

A closer look revealed one of the cars is marked "Hawkins Police Chief."
