Take a digital field trip to Atlanta's biggest attractions

Fernbank, Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical and the Georgia Aquarium are just a few of the groups participating.

ATLANTA — Starting Friday, visitors of all ages can take a digital field trip around Atlanta and participate in interactive activities and exhibits from the comfort of their own homes.
Fernbank, Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical and the Georgia Aquarium are just a few of the groups participating in "Field Trip Friday".

It's a collaboration that's began a few weeks ago, as the museums closed to the public as a safety measure against the coronavirus pandemic.

On March 14, the Georgia Aquarium closed to the public until further notice.

"We have been closely monitoring the ever-evolving situation around COVID-19 and continue to be committed to the health and well-being of our guests, staff, volunteers, and animals," according to a release on the website.

As the doors for the aquarium are closed to the public, the two puppies, Carmel and Odie, who are currently in foster homes explored the Ocean Voyager.

Video shows the epic play date as the pups deep dived into the world of the sea, including naps in front of a sting ray.
