Kayla Jade appears on season 14 of NBC's 'The Voice' (HANDOUT)

Kyla Jade is best known from NBC’s “The Voice,” (Season 14) and as a background singer for Jennifer Hudson.

Jade became one of the only African American females to rise to the top-four on NBC’s “The Voice.” Check out Kyla Jade singing an emotional rendition of “This Is Me” lifted from the “Greatest Showman” Soundtrack.

Plus, check out Kyla’s critically-acclaimed version of The Beatles “Let It Be.”

Kyla's voice was born in church and developed its power through performing in gospel choirs. After college, Kyla got her first big break when she joined the Nashville Super Choir on "Bobby Jones Gospel," the longest running gospel show on BET.

After nine years of traveling with the show, Kyla took some time off to care for family. Kyla feared it would be difficult to get back into the music scene until a friend asked her to audition as a background vocalist for Jennifer Hudson.

After traveling with Hudson for years, she landed a position in the top 10 on NBC’s “The Voice.” Jennifer Hudson soon became an avid public supporter of Kyla. Kyla Jade joined #TeamBlake (Blake Shelton) on season 14 of “The Voice.”

Although Kyla didn’t win season 14 – many believe she was robbed of the title, especially as Blake Shelton publicly declared her as the obvious winner of the season.

Kyla’s new original single “Make Up Your Mind” is available on all digital outlets now.
