Conway family turns their baby into adorable Elf on the Shelf

Parents around the world get up each night to move their Elf on the Shelf and are being challenged with finding new and more creative hiding spaces.

CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - Parents around the world get up each night to move their Elf on the Shelf and are being challenged with finding new and more creative hiding spaces. It’s more difficult than you think, but the kid’s excitement is worth all the effort.

Thanks to Elf on the Shelf, families have more options than ever when it comes to establishing a new holiday tradition. But one family in Conway, Ark. has brought their Elf on the Shelf to life!

Meet Haisley, the 9-month-old elf!

They found this little elf on their doorstep Saturday, Dec. 1., and every day she appears in a new spot.

Heather Hare, Haisley's mother said they decided to make her a real live 'Elf on the Shelf' because she is too young to participate in the traditional version.

"Her personality fits perfectly with the elf idea," Hare said. "She is fun loving, sassy, sweet and always curious! Her dad and I decided to put her into fun Christmas mischief! We want to teach her about the birth of Jesus, but there's nothing wrong with having fun while having her be Haisley the Elf in the meantime!"

The Hare's plan to take a picture of 'Haisley the Elf' everyday in December. You can follow their holiday fun on Heather's Facebook page.
