ATLANTA – Are you on the fence about heading out into the annual mad rush of shopping, where doorbuster deals turn into an after-Thanksgiving rat race to get the best parking spot and the last toy off the shelf? You may be in luck.

Black Friday morning started off pretty slow, leaving parking lots somewhat empty as stores’ doors started opening. But as the crowds woke up from their post-Thanksgiving slumber, the lots began filling up and shoppers were on their way to the best buys they could snag.

As of noon, this is where some of the hot spots are shaping up this Black Friday:

Arbor Place Mall
• 50 percent filled to capacity

Calhoun Premium Outlets
• 85 percent filled to capacity

Lenox Square
• 95 percent filled to capacity
Best places to park: South Parking Deck by Bloomingdale’s (closest to East Paces Ferry) and the West Deck

Mall of Georgia
• 75 percent filled to capacity

North Georgia Premium Outlets
• 95 percent filled to capacity

Phipps Plaza
• 10 percent filled to capacity

Sugarloaf Mills
• 35 percent filled to capacity

Town Center at Cobb
• 95 percent filled to capacity
o Best places to park: between Belk and JCPenney; Upper Level between Belk and Macy’s
