Midtown Atlanta's 'Castle' up for sale

The owner claims the property is worth $5,750,000.

ATLANTA — Two months after its owner filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Midtown Atlanta's "Castle" is up for sale, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

Real estate company Jones Lang LaSalle has begun marketing the unique, landmark historic home sandwiched between skyscrapers and overlooking the Woodruff Arts Center.

MLAC Castle Atlanta LLC, owner of the property at 87 15th Street, filed for Chapter 11 in federal bankruptcy court in Atlanta on Nov. 12. In Chapter 11, a business continues to operate while it tries to reorganize its debts.

Rose & Rye, a restaurant in the space, recently closed. 

The owner claims the property is worth $5,750,000. It is carrying $4,561,569 in debt.
