Georgia Power to give credit to customers for March bill

Georgia Power is giving residents a “one-time credit” on their March bill. This credit applies to customers who had active accounts during 2022.

ATLANTA — Georgia Power customers are getting a little bit of a break this March.

The electric company is giving residents a “one-time credit” on their March bill. This credit applies to customers who had active accounts during 2022, according to its website.

Customers' energy usage will affect how much credit they receive, the site said.

The company said the decision was made “based on (its) business performance.” This year, many Georgians are feeling the rising costs of living and inflation. With summer approaching, electricity bills will likely increase as residents battle the heat.

In addition to the credit, Georgia Power has online resources that can help customers save money. They offer information about several forms of assistance including rent, utility and food. For more information, click here
