The gas price isn't dropping for Georgia drivers

It's still cheaper than it was last year.

Georgia drivers, don't get too comfortable with the current price of gas because it's still going up.

According to AAA, gas prices have increased 28 cents since last month, causing Metro Atlanta's current gas price to be around $2.65 per gallon. This means drivers will pay about $39.15 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas.

“While prices may continue to fluctuate, the springtime increase is not over yet,” said Montrae Waiters, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group.  “AAA forecasts the national average should peak at around $2.75 by Memorial Day weekend.”

Now, AAA notes that Georgia prices are 13 cents less than the national average and about five cents cheaper than this time last year.
