Clothing donations to fab’rik help women in crisis

Women's boutique franchise fab'rik is launching a one-month program through August to challenge customers nationwide to clean out their closets so women in need can fill theirs.

Women’s boutique franchise fab’rik is launching a one-month program through August to challenge customers nationwide to clean out their closets so women in need can fill theirs.

To celebrate its 16th anniversary, fab’rik has a goal of collecting 16,000 clothing donations to dress 1,600 women escaping sex trafficking.

Throughout the month, fab’rik also strives to raise $16,000 to fund 200 free shopping sprees for women in need through its non-profit arm, free fab’rik.

The goal of free fab’rik is to empower women who have survived human trafficking, domestic violence, addiction or other hardships by providing them with high-quality, on-trend styles.

“Free fab'rik was built on the belief that clothing has the ability to change lives,” said Dana Spinola, CEO and founder of fab’rik. “Every woman is priceless and deserves to feel beautiful, inside and out. Over the years, I have realized the impact clothing has on so many lives. At free fab’rik, we meet women where they are, shop with them, share stories and try to help restore their confidence and hope for what's next in their future."

The Closet Cleanout Challenge spans the month of August, though customers can donate to free fab’rik year round at any fab’rik store or online at freefabrik.org. Customers can bring clothing donations to any of fab’rik’s 40 stores nationwide and can make monetary contributions in store or online at freefabrik.org/donate.
