INDIANAPOLIS — A man died Sunday after being shot early Friday morning on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
According to IMPD, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3800 block of North High School Road around 12:30 a.m. Friday. They found an adult male victim who had apparently been shot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He died as a result of his injuries on Sunday, July 31, IMPD said.
IMPD homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation on Friday, determining the incident originally occurred nearby in the 6400 block of Commons Drive.
The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Gregory Johnson.
Police have not shared information on the circumstances of the shooting or details on a possible suspect.
