1 hurt, 2 arrested in Saturday morning shooting in SW Atlanta

The car knocked down a utility pole nearby as the suspects tried to make their getaway.

Atlanta Police said one person was wounded in a shooting near the corner of Richardson and Windsor streets in southwest Atlanta at about 10:30 Saturday morning.

The person who was wounded was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Two suspects escaped in a car, which investigators said struck and knocked over a utility pole near the corner of Richardson and Formwalt streets.

Investigators said the car was found abandoned near the corner of Pryor and Dodd streets in southwest Atlanta. The two suspects were arrested nearby a short time later.

Police have not released any information on a motive for the shooting. Charges also have not been released in the incident as of yet.

The identities of the suspects and the victim have been withheld for the moment.
