CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police are trying to figure out who unloaded gunfire on three people sitting inside a car for no apparent reason, leaving one of them dead.

According to the Clayton County Police Department, 20-year-old Dakota Farr and two other women were parked in the driveway of a vacant trailer of a Stockbridge mobile home park around 4:30 a.m. Jan. 2.

Suddenly, a gunman shot at the car, hitting Farr and the other victims.

Officers responded to the mobile home park off Hillside Drive where an injured Farr flagged them down. EMTs rushed the 20-year-old to the hospital, but he did not survive. The other two victims were also taken to the hospital and were treated for their non life-threatening injuries.

Now, investigators are working to identify not only the gunman, but also the reason why they fired in the first place.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Clayton County Police Department or dial 911.
