He was found with multiple gunshot wounds.

A teen was arrested on the grounds of a DeKalb County high school in connection to the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old at a Clarkston apartment complex, police said.

The shooting happened Monday, Sep. 9 around 9:30 a.m. at Springdale Glen Apartments off Brockett Trail.

Lt. Harry Hess with the Clarkston Police Department said they found the victim, Marcus Sims Jr. dead with multiple gunshot wounds on the scene. It marks the fourth homicide of the year in Clarkston.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called in to process the crime scene, Hess said, however the agency is not taking over the investigation.

Hess said 17-year-old Ozell Craft is believed to be the shooter. He was taken into custody and arrested at Tucker High School.

Police said Craft and Sims were "known associates," however a motive in the shooting is unknown.

Three days prior, another shooting took place where an 18-year-old was shot and killed. Witnesses on the scene gave a description of the suspect, who is 17 years old, who was later located and arrested near Brockett Road.

It is unknown if these shootings are related, however the apartment complexes are located a little more than 1/2 mile apart.
