A valet at Poor Calvin’s restaurant in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood was robbed at gunpoint while parking a customer car, Atlanta Police said.

The valet told police he was walking back from a parking lot on 134 Renaissance Parkway on Dec. 27 when he was approached by a man in all black clothing who told him he left the trunk of a car open, according to the police report. The valet went back to check on the vehicle and was approached by a man with a silver handgun who ordered him to hand over everything.

The valet gave the suspect his wallet and cell phone and the suspect demanded the car keys in his hand, according to police. A second man wearing all black approached them from the other side of the parking lot and demanded the valet open the trunk to a 2018 white Nissan Armada. The two men grabbed two black bags from the trunk and ordered the valet to get into their car.

The valet told police he was able to run back to Poor Calvin’s and call police. The suspects are described as two black men, wearing all black and driving a dark Subaru Impreza.

The owner of the car was notified and given a case number and report. A city-wide alert was put out on the suspect vehicle and armed suspects but no arrests have been made.
