Bodies of missing Atlanta rappers found in rural Alabama

The body of a missing Atlanta man has been located in Macon County, Alabama over the past two days.

The bodies of two missing Atlanta rappers have been located in Macon County, Ala., authorities said Saturday.

The first one was found on County Road 13 near Hardiway, Ala., Friday afternoon. The second body was located early Saturday morning, located along US 80, about three miles from the first body. Hardiway is located 35 miles east of Montgomery.

The first man was identified by fingerprint analysis as 29-year-old Edward Reeves (a.k.a. Bambino Gold) of Atlanta, according to Macon County Coroner Hal Bentley. Later in the day on Saturday, the Macon County Sheriff Andre Brunson identified the second body as Reeves' cousin, 30-year-old Kendrick Stokes.

Bentley said that both bodies were in a state of decay. He said that the discovery of the bodies may be related due to the proximity in which they were found.

Autopsies will be performed on both bodies as early as Monday at the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery.

Reeves and Stokes, both aspiring rappers from Atlanta, went missing in Montgomery nearly two weeks ago. The men were last seen on November 5, driving a white 2016 Honda CRV, with a Georgia tag, according to Montgomery police.

Montgomery NBC station WSFA says someone noticed the first body while walking by a wooded area about 4:40 p.m. Friday on County Road 13, about a mile and a half from US 80. The second body was found in the woods off of US 80.

The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation has taken over the case, according to WSFA.
