CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a gun battle outside a Clayton County Waffle House Saturday is now being treated as a homicide investigation, after one of the people hurt in the shooting died.

The shooting happened outside the restaurant located on Riverdale Road in the afternoon and brought a heavy police presence, according to at least one witness.

A spokesperson for Clayton County Police later confirmed that two men got into an argument and that both pulled out guns and began firing at each other. Both were struck by bullets.

The entire argument apparently happened outside the location, police said. No other people were injured in the gunfire. Police don't yet know what the two were arguing about but said that they knew each other.

In an update on the shooting, police said that one of the men, Kelvin Satcher, died from his injuries, prompting police to treat the case as a homicide.

Police have yet to identify the other man hurt in the shooting. They have also not said whether he would be facing charges in connection with the shooting.
