The Bibb County Sheriff's Office needs help locating an inmate who left a work detail Saturday evening.

The sheriff's office posted a photo of 22-year-old Jaylon Patrick its Facebook page.

Patrick was at the Bibb County Sheriff's Office car wash working off his community service hours when a Honda Civic pulled up and helped him get away, according to the authorities.

The car was light in color and pulled up just as the detail was about to end.

Deputies said Patrick jumped in the car and the driver sped off.

Patrick has a short afro, weighs about 170 pounds, and is about 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a neon green shirt, a denim jacket, and white pants that have a blue stripe along the side of each leg.

Patrick was originally in jail for felony theft by taking, probation violation superior court, and bond surrender. Deputies said a warrant for escape before conviction will be issued against Patrick.

Anyone with information that could help deputies find Patrick,  contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or you can call Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
