ATLANTA — For roughly a month, four members of the GSHINE gang are believed to have terrorized an Atlanta neighborhood. Now, three of them are in custody and facing charges as high up as murder - and all four have been indicted by a grand jury.

Between Feb. 11 and March 7, 2017, 15-year-old Kordale "Juke" Milliam, 17-year-old Lovett "Bug" Tennie, 16-year-old Iman "Mon" Weems and 17-year-old Mike "Lil Mike" Washington were allegedly involved in a crime spree that included two murders and numerous carjackings and robberies.

Dubbed the Drum Gun Killers due to the type of drum-loaded weapon they often used, prosecutors said their first known alleged crime involved the attempted robbery of a victim at gunpoint on Charlestown Drive followed by a successful robbery on Herschel Road minutes later. Then, on Feb. 20, they're accused of robbing another man and taking his car on Promenade Way in College Park. On Feb. 22 of that year they allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint - then another in East Point on Feb. 28 where they also took her car.

Prosecutors said they stole a car on March 1 and then posed alongside it in pictures that later showed up on Instagram posts and cell phones - bragging about their crimes. They're also accused of performing yet another robbery on Sierra Road in Atlanta the very next day. And before the end of that day they allegedly robbed a man and stole his car on Sable Trail.

But the worst crimes they accused of committing involve two robberies that apparently didn't go as planned. Sometime between March 2 and 3, the defendants are accused of murdering 25-year-old Newton Gordon who was sitting in a car parked in the driveway of a friend's home on Stonewall Lane.

Then, on March 7, the defendants allegedly tried to rob a victim on Sable View. But in this case, the victim fired back.  The group returned fire and somewhere in the barrage of bullets 15-year-old Jerren Carmichael, described as a fellow gang member involved in the robbery, was shot in the head.

The district attorney's office said they dropped him off at Atlanta Medical Center South and escaped. Carmichael died 12 days later.

All but Washington have been arrested but each one is named in a 48 count indictment that includes crimes such as participation in criminal street gang activity, murder, felony murder, armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle in the first degree, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage to property in the first and second degree, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, arson in the second degree, tampering with evidence, possession of a pistol by a person under the age of 18 and fleeing a police officer.
