The theft took place on Saturday morning, Atlanta Police said.

ATLANTA — Always – always – lock your car.

One guy who didn’t wound up getting his Ferrari stolen.

Atlanta Police confirmed Monday afternoon that they’d responded to an auto theft this weekend in Buckhead for a black Ferrari.

According to police, a man called and said “his brother’s black Ferrari had been parked unlocked inside of the parking garage” at a Buckhead high-rise.

The high-rise is at 325 E. Paces Ferry Rd. and is called Paces 325 Condos.

The car was taken at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said. They said they later spoke to the Ferrari’s owner, who said his key fob was missing and that there was $300 in cash and a handgun in the car when it was stolen.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the cheapest 2018 Ferrari model – a Portofino – costs $214,533.

An investigation is ongoing, according to Atlanta Police.

They did not have a description for a suspect, but did provide a surveillance image of a person of interest wanted for questioning in the investigation.
