The Ware County High School teacher who was arrested after being caught having sex with a teen in his car by the boy's mother may have exposed the teen to HIV according to his latest charge.

Tracey Crosby, 42, was booked into the Camden County jail on November 29 and he was initially charged with solicitation of sodomy, however, the charge of reckless conduct - HIV infected person has been added to the jail log. He was given a bond of $150,000.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office responded to Waterfront Park in Woodbine on November 29 because the mother of the victim said her son left her home and would not explain where he was going or why he was leaving. The mother said she found Crosby and the boy having sex in Crosby's car.

Crosby has been placed on administrative leave from Ware County High School and the school distract said it is cooperating with police in the investigation.

First Coast News also learned that Crosby worked as a deputy for the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff, Ramsey Bennett told First Coast News that he worked part-time for the department for six to seven years, but he was terminated the day of his arrest.
