Helen, Georgia business owner busted for allegedly selling pot from inside

Officers uncovered more than eight pounds of pre-packaged marijuana and other drugs.

HELEN, Ga. — Helen Police busted a downtown business for allegedly dealing marijuana from the inside.

Police arrested Robert Keith Wright, 63, and Jaroslava Brusova, 59, July 16 at the Wright The Bowl Maker business on Chattahoochee Street.

According to authorities, two officers were eating lunch when they got a 911 call reporting a smell of marijuana coming from the store.

When they got there, both officers immediately recognized the odor and detained the Wright, the store owner, while they obtained search warrants.

During the search, officers uncovered more than eight pounds of pre-packaged marijuana and other drugs and paraphernalia.

Authorities charged Wright him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking in marijuana.

Police charged Brusova with felony possession of marijuana, two counts of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Both are still in jail awaiting arraignment to have a bond set. Police said more arrests could come in connection to the case.
