MABLETON, Ga. -- A man was arrested after a four-hour standoff at a home Tuesday afternoon.

Cobb Police responded to a home in the 1000 block of Regal Hills Lane in the Providence subdivision on a break-in call at about 4:50 p.m. When they arrived, 19-year-old Antonio M. Gee was inside the home with two women and children.

Cobb County Police Sergeant Dana Pierce said both women were severely beaten and stabbed.

According to police, one of the women was the mother of Gee's children and the other woman was her mother. Gee is the father of the children who were inside the home.

Once inside, police officers positioned themselves between the women and the suspect, which allowed the women to escape the home, according to police.

Gee was arrested and faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault with attempted murder, false imprisonment, cruelty to children, and burglary.

Gee had just been released from prison on December 5. According to Pierce, Gee went to the home attempting to rekindle a relationship with the mother of his children.

The standoff came to a conclusion at about 8:30 p.m.
