Man charged with murder in northwest Atlanta shooting

Police believe an argument led up to the deadly shooting.

ATLANTA — A suspect connected to a deadly shooting in northwest Atlanta has been arrested, police say. 

An-Nur Green, 43, has been charged with murder in connection to the Wednesday incident off Marietta Road, near the Inman Rail Yard. 

According to Atlanta Police, officers went to the area after getting reports of shots being called. When they got there, they found a man who was unconscious but breathing. EMTs rushed him to Grady Hospital for treatment, but he died there.

While investigating, police learned that Green and the victim knew each other - and that Green was responsible for the shooting. As for a motive, police believe an argument led up to the deadly shooting.

Investigators secured warrants to search Green's Fairburn home. They found him there, and with the help of SWAT officers, they took the 43-year-old into custody. 

Green was taken to the Fulton County Jail to be booked. Meanwhile, the investigation continues.
