Man visiting Atlanta park with family attacked by 'violent criminals,' police say

ATLANTA — Police are looking for two suspects after they allegedly attacked a man who was visiting an Atlanta park with his family. 

It reportedly happened June 12 at Kennedy Park.

According to Crime Stoppers, the victim told Atlanta Police that while he was there with his family, a group of 15 men approached him. Two in the group reportedly approached the victim, and told him to "give it up." When the victim did not cooperate, police said the two men hit him in the head and beat him up. The victim had to get seven stitches as a result, according to police. 

The victim told police the suspects went through his pockets after the attack and took his wallet and cellphone. 

Now, police are asking for anyone with information or who may recognize the suspects to come forward.
