Mother of LeSean McCoy's son claims NFL star asked her to lie about home invasion

More court documents are filed in the LeSean McCoy case.

As if the saga surrounding Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy couldn't get any more bizarre -- now, the mother of McCoy's 6-year-old son has filed court papers that claim McCoy asked her to participate in a home invasion that resulted in a brutal injury to McCoy's ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon.

According to the affidavit filed in court in Fulton County, Stephanie Maisonet said she was told that if she participated in a lie related to a July break-in at a home that Cordon and McCoy shared in Milton, that McCoy would concede in the custody dispute between the two of them.

As part of the custody dispute between she and McCoy, Maisonet claimed that McCoy abused their son to the point of leaving bruises on the boy. She said in the affidavit that she had reported those claims to child services. The photograph she provided of their son with the affidavit shows bruises that allegedly came at the hands of McCoy.

In early July, McCoy was working to evict Cordon from the home, where she lived from October 2016 until July 2018, when the break-in occurred.

Police said that during the break-in, Cordon had been physically assaulted by a lone intruder. Photos of her injuries after that attack began to be circulated on social media.

11Alive's Buffalo sister station, WGRZ reported that an Instagram user, who claimed to be Cordon's best friend, posted the photos and included allegations of pet and child abuse, along with domestic abuse and steroid use. The post has since been deleted, however the friend who made the post still stands behind what was stated.

Cordon's attorneys insisted that McCoy had been behind Cordon's beating. The lawyers said the robbery may have been orchestrated by McCoy. He denied the allegation, saying he was in Florida at the time of the robbery.

Shortly after the photos were posted online, the Buffalo Bills organization said they were aware of the photos and other social media allegations against McCoy. McCoy had never faced these types of allegations previously. NFL players are tested regularly for performance-enhancing drugs, and McCoy has never failed a drug test.

McCoy also responded in a statement: "For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me are completely false. Furthermore, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months."

McCoy has not been charged in connection with the incident.
