A suspected gang member who failed to appear in court for arraignment on murder and other charges has been arrested again by DeKalb sheriffs and Cobb police.
A bench warrant was issued on Jan. 11, 2018, for the arrest of Malcolm Jamal Brown, 30, of Smyrna. Brown is facing two malice murder counts; eight street gang counts; and a RICO violation.
Police said Brown was characterized in 2015 news reports as an alleged “Bloods” gang member who may have ordered the May 2014 murders of Sonia Williams and Shaniqua Camacho in Decatur.
He was originally arrested by DeKalb deputies and later released on $75,000 bond.
DeKalb investigators located and arrested Brown on Thursday at a Cobb County apartment complex.
