Newnan Police: 3 in custody after pursuit of stolen vehicle

NEWNAN, Ga. — Three people were taken into custody after a chase in Newnan.

Newnan Police didn't release a lot if information, but they did say it stemmed from a call officers received about a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen sometime between June 29 and 6:30 a.m. 

Police said shots were fired near Ball Street and Paul Street and that the stolen vehicle was observed leaving the area, hitting another vehicle.

In all, police said three people - an adult and two minors - where taken into custody. Officers also recovered three handguns.

No other details were released.
