ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police said a man was shot in the leg in southwest Atlanta Monday night.
At about 11 pm, officers responded to reports of a person down call near the intersection of Fulton and Ira streets in southwest Atlanta.
When they arrived, they found a black male victim with a single gunshot wound in his right calf. The victim told officers that while he was in a dispute with a female associate in the 300 block of Rawson Street, a black male suspect shot him.
Investigators found what appeared to be a crime scene at that location with a single shell casing and what they called a "significant amount of blood."
The victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Atlanta Police investigators were still looking for the suspect in the shooting on Tuesday.
