Man killed in Atlanta stabbing, suspect identified and charged with murder

James Moore, 36, was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man to death after what's believed to have been an argument on Monday morning.

ATLANTA — One man is in custody after police said he fatally stabbed another man overnight. 

According to Atlanta Police, the exchange happened at a home on Glenwood Avenue early Monday morning. 

Police said they believe the stabbing happened after some type of altercation.

According to police, 36-year-old Jamese Moore was arrested and charged with murder.

He was found near a gas station shortly after the 911 call came in, Lt. Andrea Webster said.

Moore was transported to Grady Detention and will be transferred to DeKalb County Jail.

An investigation is ongoing.
