ATLANTA -- Police are responding after two people were shot at a gas station in southwest Atlanta.

It happened at the Chevron gas station in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive SW.

Police do not have many details at this time, but said both victims are male. One of them was reported to be alert and breathing. The other victim was said to be in critical condition.

Emergency officials have taken both of the victims to the hospital.

Police are investigating and have not identified a shooter or a motive at this time.

Investigators are also working on another shooting that happened less than a mile away. One woman was shot in the abdomen at the Caribu Apartments in the 2000 block of Sylvan Road. Police were interviewing her at Grady, where she was transported.

Detectives are working to determine whether those two shootings are connected in any way.
