Police are on the lookout for two men accused of trying to rob an Atlanta Dollar General.

According to preliminary information from investigators, two men entered the store at 807 Cascade Ave. SW on the evening of Nov. 23.

A short time later, one of the men pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded that she give him cash from the register. When she told them that she couldn't open the register, the men ran from the store.

However, before they left, the two men were caught on surveillance video, from which police are now releasing stills in hopes of finding them.

The armed robber was described as a black man who was about 6 feet 4 inches tall. He had a slim build and was wearing dark clothes with a white knit hat and thick-framed glasses.

The second robber, who never showed a weapon, was also a black man and was about 6 feet tall with short, twisted dreads and faded sides. He was wearing a red and black plaid coat with a white collar on top of a black shirt, black pants and black shoes.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the men to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 (TIPS). Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
