Police: Suspect connected to 2 Gwinnett County robberies wanted

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Police are looking for a man who they say could be linked to two armed robberies.

Authorities said Willie James Rivers should be considered armed and dangerous.

On July 14, police sad a man robbed the HomeStay Suites on Stone Mountain Highway where the clerk was robbed at gunpoint.

A little more than a week later, authorities said the same suspect robbed the Stars and Strikes on Brightwell Court.

Police said the robber came inside and pointed a gun at multiple people. Authorities said one of the victims followed the suspect and the suspect fired multiple shots at him.

The suspect ran away, leaving behind the lime green 2014 Ford Mustang he was driving.

Gwinnett Police said after the second robbery happened, they identified Rivers as a suspect.

He is wanted for two counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault.
