DECATUR, Ga. — Police say a registered sex offender was trying to re-register with authorities when they arrested him for another crime.
Authorities say Hussan Karim Chester went to the Gwinnett County Sex Offender's Unit Tuesday when authorities arrested him on a warrant for felony murder.
According to the warrant issued on Feb. 24, the 34-year-old shot a woman in the head on Feb. 22, at a home off Meadow Glen Village Lane. No motive was given.
Authorities took Chester to the DeKalb County Jail without incident.
