ROME, Ga. — Authorities say a man is in custody for allegedly shooting another.
According to the City of Rome Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Dodd Boulevard around 12:45 a.m., Sunday.
When they got there, they found Dakota Alan Malone shot twice in the back. Authorities transported Malone to the hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
Investigators charged Derricus Jamar Wade with aggravated assault in connection to the shooting.
No other information about what led up to the shooting was available.
