DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police don't know his name, but they're hoping someone recognizes the face of a man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman in DeKalb County.

A sketch artist has released a photo of the suspect in the crimes which happened in the 700 block of Derrydown Way on Jan. 25, not far from Avondale Estates.

Police said he appeared to be a black man who was between 30 and 45 years old. He was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt, tan cargo pants and was armed with a black handgun. In the sketch, he also has dreads, though police said it's unclear if he actually does.

Decatur police also released the picture on Thursday to help their neighboring police department. They did further digging to determine whether the crime was tied to a carjacking in the 700 block of the same road weeks earlier. However, they later determined that the two cases don't appear to be related.

Anyone who recognizes the man should call the DeKalb County Police Department at 770-724-7850. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477 (TIPS).
