GRIFFIN, Ga. -- The third and final suspect in a Nov. 24 murder in Spalding County is now in jail.
Cornelius "Buck" Henderson was taken into custody Monday evening.
He and two others are accused of gunning down 21-year-old Demarkis Willis during an argument over stolen property. Willis was found shot outside the Ma & Pa Grocery on Meriwether Street in Griffin. He later died at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Griffin Police Lt. Michael Richardson said investigators received new leads in the case Monday afternoon. A lieutenant with the Spalding County Sheriff's Office was able to get in touch with Henderson and convince him to turn himself in.
The other two suspects, Yohance Hines and Christopher Williams, were already in custody. All three are being held in the Spalding County Jail.
