Police believe the teen was walking with a friend when a car approached.

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Police believe a teen shot dead alongside a Henry County road was targeted.

Now, they're hoping someone out there knows what happened and can help them catch the person responsible.

Around 10 p.m. on Thursday, police said they were called to the 100 block of Springwood Valley Road near Stockbridge to reports of a person shot.

They arrived to find the victim who they identified as 17-year-old Larry Bernard Bryant - and soon, they pronounced him dead at the scene.

Based on a preliminary investigation, police believe Bryant was visiting a friend in the area and both were walking along the roadside when a car, believed to be light-colored, approached.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Henry County Police Department.
