DALTON, Ga. – A Whitfield County grand jury handed down a murder indictment against a 21-year-old woman accused of murdering a convenience store clerk in March.

The woman, Skyy Raven Marie Mims, is accused of stabbing convenience store clerk Dayahbai Chaudhari, 37, to death at Kanku's Express on Airport Road in Dalton on March 9, 2014.

At the time of her arrest, GBI officials said Mims, an aspiring model and singer from Detroit, was on her way to Atlanta.

Speaking to 11Alive News in March, the owner of the convenience store said that Mims only got away with a small amount of money and some lottery tickets. She was arrested at a home in Cartersville.

According to our Chattanooga sister station WRCB, Mims has been charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, second degree burglary, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and theft by bringing stolen property into the state. Mims' formal arraignment is scheduled for July 18.
