COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Police are searching for a woman they believe broke into a local business and stole hundreds of dollars from a charity jar, among other things.
Police said that on Sept. 17 around 11 p.m., police believe Tammy Leigh Jones burglarized a business known as The Barber Shop at 20 Baker Road in Coweta County.
A person believed to be Jones is seen on video entering the business in an unlawful manner that isn't fully described. The person in the video then takes $280 from a charity jar sitting on the counter before grabbing shop towels and a barber's jar.
Tammy is now wanted on a charge of felony burglary and has a bench warrant out for her arrest for missing court.
Authorities believe she may be driving a gray 2003 Toyota Sequoia. Investigators believe one of the back windows may be busted out. They also suspect that it will have a Georgia license plate that reads: RJN 9867.
Anyone with information on Jones' location is asked to contact Investigator Shawna Wade at 770-253-1502 or send an email to swade@coweta.ga.us.
