Two of the most popular musical acts of the 1990s are touring and planning a stop in metro Atlanta this summer.
Hootie & the Blowfish and the Barenaked Ladies are set to perform at the Cellairis Amphitheater on June 1, 2018. Presale tickets are currently available and general public ticket sales start Friday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m.
The “Group Therapy Tour” celebrates the 25-year anniversary release of Hootie & the Blowfish’s debut album, “Cracked Rear View,” featuring the hits “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be With You.”
The quartet met while attending the University of South Carolina in Columbia in the late ‘80s. Hootie & the Blowfish’s last performance in Atlanta was July 2018 at SunTrust Park.
The Barenaked Ladies, a Canadian rock band, became famous in the late ‘90s with their hit single, “One Week.”
The tour kicks off in Virginia Beach in May 2019 and runs through September.
