Mark Wahlberg sets aside acting, takes on car dealership

The car dealership will be one of the actor's many business endeavors.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg is now the proud co-owner of an Ohio Chevrolet car dealership, much to the surprise of his fans and followers.

The Academy Award nominee acquired the dealership with longtime business partner Jay Feldman, who also co-owns the Wahlburger restaurant chain with the actor, which features a location at Suntrust Park and Battery.

Feldman, who is the president and CEO of Feldman Automotive, released a statement stating that "The Wahlberg brand is all about Americana". Wahlberg has previously pursued other business opportunities, including a movie production company, a health and wellness company and water line with music star Diddy.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their opinions on the actor's new business endeavor.

In a statement, Wahlberg says he’s continuously looking for ways to innovate his brand and engage in businesses that’s he’s passionate about and was inspired to “represent an iconic brand like Chevrolet.”
