Three classes that will build your career in Georgia’s booming entertainment industry

Joining the entertainment workforce in Georgia is becoming more accessible for residents. 

The DeKalb Entertainment Commission will offer its final series of educational classes for 2018 for Atlantans interested in building their careers in the film and television industries. Classes will include: Intro to the Film Business, Getting Started in the Industry, and Resumes for Film and Television.

The classes are presented by Linda Burns with the Atlanta Film Society. A discount is available to DeKalb residents for each individual class, any combination of classes, or all three

This will take place Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018!  Check out the descriptions below:

Basics of the business ­ development to sale, terminology, crew positions, definitions, and hierarchy. Overview of the film and television industry, including commercials, industrials, and music videos.

Your resume is your first impression, and film resumes look nothing like corporate ones. How to craft a film resume, whether you have experience or not. Mostly for crew, but instructors will touch on cast headshots and resumes as well.
