ATLANTA — A former Georgia Tech football player faces serious charges after being accused of raping a woman at a party.

Adam Gotsis, who is currently a defensive end for the Denver Broncos, has been charged with one count of felony rape related to the 2013 incident.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the 30-year-old victim told police back in February she met Gotsis through a mutual friend and attended a party with him back in March 2013. She told police after the party, Gotsis took her to his home where he raped her.

After speaking to the victim, investigators secured a warrant for Gotsis' arrest.

Gotsis turned himself over to authorities and was booked into the Fulton County Jail March 7 on a felony rape charge. He was released the same day after a judge issued him a $50,000 bond.
