Funeral services announced for fallen Cobb County firefighter

Funeral services for fallen Cobb County firefighter will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

MARIETTA, Ga. -- Funeral arrangements for Cobb County firefighter Stacey Leigh Boulware were released on Wednesday. Boulware collapsed and died of a massive heart attack early Monday afternoon at Fire Station #5 in Vinings.

Visitation for Boulware will be held Saturday, March 17 from 1-to-3 p.m. at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church at 5145 Due West Road in Powder Springs with Chaplain Michael Bell officiating. A memorial service will commence at 3 p.m. at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Boulware's family is requesting contributions in her memory be made out to the Cobb Employees' Benevolent Fund, 1595 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008.

Fire Departments who wish to have apparatus or staff vehicles take part in the procession need to be in place at Mays Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home at 3940 Macland Road in Powder Springs, GA by 11:30 a.m. on Saturday for a 12 p.m. departure.
