The promo code 'APS2020' will be available for use Monday through Friday during meal service times from 10 a.m. to noon.

ATLANTA — Atlanta Public Schools and the rideshare company Uber have teamed up to help make sure students are getting the food they need - even while school is out.

The school system announced on Sunday that, through April 10, Uber will be providing discounted rides to food distribution centers set up by APS. Uber will offer a 25 percent discount up to $10 for trips to or from the pickup locations beginning Monday and continuing through April 10.

The promo code "APS2020" will be available for use Monday through Friday during meal service times from 10 a.m. to noon. It will be for any UberX or UberXL trip to or from the pickup location.

To redeem the ride discount:

1.   Open your app and tap “Payment” in your app menu
2.   Scroll down to Promotions
3.   Tap “Add Promo Code”
4.   Enter code APS2020 then tap “Add”
5.   Select any of the pickup locations listed above as your destination

The trips are good for two rides per rider per day. The discount does not apply to surcharges, government fees, tolls or tips and cannot be combined with other officers or discounts. The offer is also non-transferable and is subject to change without notice.
