The 'Ready to Love' season one single addressed how she is recovering after being treated for COVID-19.

ATLANTA — A popular DJ and reality show contestant shared an update just weeks after revealing she was treated with medications used to fight COVID-19.

DJ Stomy Monroe said hundreds of people have checked in with her since we last spoke to her on March 26, just a week before then she was treated for pneumonia in both lungs. She said she was treated using the drug Plaquenil, which is used to treat malaria - and recently coronavirus.

“DJ STORMY pneumonia x #covid x #chloroquine x medications Recovery Update,” she wrote in in an Instagram post. “Follow up to my first video posted 2 weeks ago. I needed to give myself time to recover and heal. Sorry it took so long,”

The 'Ready to Love' season one single shared that, in addition to taking chloroquine, she also took herbal supplements like black seed oil and Vitamin C.

“Moving around made me feel better. I was so weak, but pushing myself on a daily basis is what  helped me day today.” Monroe said.

She added that she's recovering and is no longer on doses of chloroquine, but her head "still feels woozy.” She said she's ready to “get back to 100 percent.”

She later encouraged people to stop smoking cigarettes, at least during the stay at home order, because of how the virus impacts the respiratory system.
