Douglas County drapes 100-foot flag outside courthouse to mark 9/11

It is one of a number of memorials and observances around Atlanta being held to mark 20 years since the tragedy.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Marking 9/11 early Saturday morning, Douglas County draped a 100-foot flag outside the county courthouse.

The tribute is one of a number happening around Atlanta and the rest of the country today, as the nation pauses to remember the tragic attacks of September 11th, 2001.

On Facebook, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office wrote: "Remembering our brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect and serve. You will never be forgotten."
